Ohhh Louise youβre going to set me off again π₯Ή Will be forever grateful for you and your support! So happy to have you here. Have a wonderful Friday π«Ά
Congratulations on your success. The breakthrough moment on Substack is amazing, unbelievable, and inspiring all at the same time. On a separate note, I need to hear more about this chicken and chorizo jambalaya π
Thank you so much Brian! Itβs been a crazy week for me, I canβt believe itβs happened π₯°
The jambalaya is one of my favourite dishes everrrr. This is the recipe I follow: https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/chicken-chorizo-jambalaya I put more a little more water in the stock than it recommends and I check on it every 5-10 mins while simmering at it can sometimes catch at the bottom. It also takes more than the 20-25 mins to cook off but itβs totally worth the wait! Let me know if you give it a try π
So wholesome! I'm definitely one of the folks who saw that note you're talking about and subscribed!! What a joy to be deeply loved and supported! (Also, very much related to the whole "keeping substack notifications off and devoting specific time to engage with people" thing.....that's very much how I've found I have to engage with substack...people write such substantive comments and to devote anything less than proper attention would feel kinda....chincy!)
Thank you so much Niki! Iβm so happy to have you here! π«Ά Yes, I feel the exact same way as you! I always make sure I go on Substack when I know I have the time and energy to invest in it β€οΈ
So happy for you Soph βΊοΈβΊοΈβΊοΈ Also, I got a new sub this morning through your recommendationβ¦ and thatβs how I found out you recommend me π₯Ή Thank you so so much!! Iβm so happy to know you on here π«Άπ»π«Άπ»π«Άπ»
What an amazing accomplishment!! So happy to have found your blog, itβs so nice to read pieces I can resonate with so strongly. & drop the jambalaya recipe!!!
Oh thank you so much Ella! Happy to have found you on here too π₯°
Hereβs the jambalaya recipe! https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/chicken-chorizo-jambalaya Itβs tried and true. Iβd recommend putting in a little more water with the stock than 350ml and check on it every 5/10 mins when itβs simmering as it can sometimes catch on the bottom! It always takes more than 20-25 mins to cook off too, itβs usually more like 30-40.
Let me know if you give it a try! Iβm on my own tonight as Aidanβs out so I may or may not have cooked this for the second time this week π
Ahh thank you!!! You're so lovely! Everyone on here is so supportive, such a refreshing place to be π«Άπ» I am definitely trying this recipe, right up my street. I'll let you know how it goes!
Congrats congrats congrats! I really do feel the same about this lovely corner of the internet being substack, and the genuine love I feel the love you have for Aidan through this, and his love for you! To many more candles being lit!
Oh thank you so much Megan, what a lovely comment! His parents did raise him right and they are two of the most wonderful people Iβve ever met - I really hit the jackpot.
Thank you again, so glad Iβve found you through Substack! β€οΈ
ππΌππΌππΌ I found you via your post about Aidan and then I started to read more and instantly connected with your writing. Itβs an immense privilege to be your first paid sub and supporter of your work. Keep doing you and turning up and your people (like me and those early cheerleaders) will keep finding you. Well done Soph, what a week! π©·
