That's some reading. Thanks for sharing it has made me feel I just read about 6 books in a minute! I am definitely not your demographic (50 yr old) but really enjoyed your TikTok piece. I just subscribed as you write thoughtfully and intelligently, I look forward to more.
A lot of great recommendations, I think if I should pick I’ll start with Spare by Prince Harry, I have a thing about biographies that just intrigues me.
You’re an avid reader Soph, it makes me want to ask, are you in any book club?
That's impressive to hit your goodreads goal in July. Good job! I have to say, this sounds like a really good reading month. I'm about halfway through Fourth Wing but I haven't completed it yet. I kind of set it aside a few months ago. Haha. But now I'm inspired to finish!
I am amazed that you read this many books last month, that is goals for me. I used to read sooo much and I'm slowly making more time for it again now that my babygirl is a toddler. Anyway, bummer that some of them weren't that great, I would be super put off by that. Fourth Wing is on my short list after you raved about it on Notes. I just finished 'Kindred' by Octavia Butler, and that was really great, and I'm starting 'A Little Life', next which I feel a bit nervous I'll be let down by given all the talk about it. I'll keep you posted!
Please remember I'm child-free, I definitely wouldn't be able to read this much with little people to care for! Couldn't recommend Fourth Wing enough to be honest, I was instantly obsessed. Ooh best of luck with A Little Life, my stepmum has raved about it foreverrrr but I've not been brave enough to read it yet! Please let me know how you get on 🥰
Congratulations on smashing your reading target for the WHOLE year in six months. Whats on your TBR for July? I have just started a new book yesterday and I’m loving it. Memoirs and non fiction are typically what I reach for, but this year I’ve got into some much needed escapism fiction. #booktok has definitely inspired me I’m afraid to say!! Have you read the ACOTOR series?
Thanks so much Louise! I read 26 books in all of 2023 so it's crazy I've done that already in half the time 😂 I've just started Happy Place by Emily Henry on my Kindle, then I'd also like to read Butter by Asako Yuzuki and Abroad in Japan by Chris Broad this month plus whatever my book club picks! I haven't read ACOTAR yet but I've got it on my Kindle - I'm worried if I love it I'll want to read the whole series in one go so I'm trying to get through a little more of my physical TBR before starting 😂
Thank you! Honestly, you might like The Humans more than me. I just couldn’t get on with it at all. I read Fourth Wing quicker and The Humans is approx 200 pages shorter, so you get the idea!
Omg, I can’t wait either! Substack is going to be crazyyyy when Onyx Storm releases 🤣

Oh how lovely, I’m glad you enjoyed the piece! Welcome to the Quiet 20s crew ❤️
Quiet 20’s PLUS 30 😂

Thanks so much Lawrence! Hopefully you find it interesting - it’s been controversial for many but I really enjoyed it.
I am! I’m part of my local book club ☺️ This month’s book was Yellowface which I’ve already read, so I had a bonus book of my choice this month!
Woosh Woosh! A beautiful way to start the month of July. Go girl! 🥳🤩🙌🏽
Thanks Lawrence!

I love how wide of genres you read!! Love it all! Fourth wing is so bingeable
Thank you! I'm very sporadic with my reading genres, I'll pick up anything 😂 Honestly could not get enough of Fourth Wing!
Big mood reader here, too!
Woooo! 🎉

I’ve heard so much good stuff about the Fourth Wing series!! You’ve convinced me, I’ll have to pick it up. Also LOVE the nails!
Oh my gosh I couldn't recommend it enough! I was instantly obsessed! Thank you so much hehe! 💅
I was going to say that I thought Spare might be a bit of a slog.
Did you watch the South Park piss take of them? You should do. It’s brilliant.
